DIRECTOR OF CHOIRS
Will Griswold is entering his third year teaching Choral Studies in Texas public schools. Mr. Griswold attended high school in Orlando, FL and was very involved in Choir, Band, and Musical Theater. Mr. Griswold moved to Nashville, TN and pursued a degree in music. In May of 2016 Mr. Griswold graduated from Belmont University with a Bachelor's degree in Choral Music Education and a Minor in Religion and the Arts. While at Belmont, Mr. Griswold studied Choral Conducting under Dr. Jeffrey Ames and Dr. Deen Entsminger. He performed in numerous ensembles including Belmont Chamber Singers, Belmont Chorale, Belmont Opera Theater, and Southbound. Also while at Belmont Mr. Griswold had the opportunity to perform with recording artists such as Michael W. Smith and Ricky Skaggs.
Mr. Griswold joined the Argyle ISD team in 2016 and directs all of the Choral Ensembles from grades 6-12. He also co-directs the HS and MS musical theater productions in the Fall and Spring.
Outside of school, Mr. Griswold occasionally leads worship for churches and events. In his free time he enjoys playing piano/guitar, writing songs, watching sports, going to the movies, and cheering for the Rangers and Cowboys.
Mr. Griswold lives in Keller, TX with his wife of two years, Olivia, a Special Education teacher at Grapevine High School.
The Argyle ISD Choir program is made up of numerous people at every campus in the district. Together we work hard to ensure that students have quality music education opportunities for all 14 years they attend school.
Ms. Barkley teaches general music at Hilltop Elementary and directs the 2nd/3rd Grade Choir.
Mrs. Lamb teaches general music at Argyle Intermediate and directs the 4th/5th Grade Melody Eagles Choir.
Mrs. Heather Parks currently accompanies all of the Choirs in our district for concerts and community events.
